A trio of past winners head the race for Country Cups glory at Casterton
A field of familiar faces will line up in the $50,000 Foodworks Casterton Cup (2000m) this Sunday, 19 May hoping for an opportunity to gain valuable points in the 2023-24 Victorian Country Cups Series. The Victorian Country Cups Series culminates in a $500,000 final at Caulfield on Saturday, 16 November. Points are accumulated through Victoria’s Country Cups across the season, with the top 16 points getters qualifying for the rich final.

Victoria's race programs set to feature two new classes
Following consultation with industry stakeholders, Racing Victoria (RV) will introduce two new race classes to the upcoming program with 0-62 and Benchmark 74 races both set to debut in June. As part of RV’s ongoing consultation process and review of the horse population, race program and field sizes in Victoria, the two new classes have been chosen for introduction.

Western Victorian Racing Clubs to receive major funding boost
Two Western Victorian Racing Clubs will benefit from new infrastructure that will help boost the local econony, aid local trainers, support racegoers and protect animal welfare.
